Prime Minister Albin Kurti visited Astrit Dehari’s grave and paid tribute on the 10th anniversary of his death.
Kurti said that a decade without Astrit is far too long for his family, Vetëvendosje, his colleagues and everyone who knew him, as well as for the Republic of Kosovo and Albanians. According to him, the truth about Dehari’s death and justice for him are still missing: even after 10 years, the killer’s name is unknown, while five prosecutors have been replaced in the case.

He criticized the institutions for rushing, shortly after the death, to announce conclusions about the case without seeking accountability from the killer.
Kurti described Dehari as a very hard-working person and a tireless student who also studied fields outside his specialization. He added that, although he was young, even older people learned from him. Dehari is greatly missed, Kurti said, stressing that the pursuit of justice would not stop and that they were ready to cooperate with all institutions to shed light on his death.
