KESCO calls on consumers to save energy during the winter

Falling temperatures are accompanied by increased electricity consumption, making its efficient use particularly important during the cold months, when demand for supply rises.

According to KESCO data, from September 1 to October 31, 2026, energy consumption among regulated consumers increased by 4.1% compared with the same period last year. Meanwhile, the first days of November recorded nearly 25% higher consumption compared with the previous month.

KESCO emphasizes that saving does not mean giving up heating or comfort, but avoiding unnecessary use of energy.

Keeping indoor temperatures at reasonable levels, heating only the spaces being used, using electrical appliances efficiently, and switching them off when they are not needed are simple steps that can make a difference.

Careful use of energy can reduce household expenses, ease the burden during periods of high consumption, and help make more efficient use of energy resources.

KESCO calls on consumers to use electricity responsibly this winter and avoid unnecessary consumption. Every kilowatt-hour saved matters to the family and to everyone, the company said in its appeal.
