The forum takes place in the French capital every November, bringing together states and non-state actors involved in collective action to discuss solutions for global governance.
Since 2018, the forum has provided heads of state and international organizations with a space to work alongside civil society and the private sector on new approaches to joint action.
French President Emmanuel Macron proposed the creation of the Peace Forum in 2017. In a speech at the Conference of Ambassadors, he stressed the need for concrete steps to strengthen multilateralism and preserve peace.
