The Financial Police has filed criminal charges against M.N., the head of a company that conducts vehicle inspections. He is suspected of embezzling 41.5 million denars, equivalent to around €675,000.
Investigators believe that from 2022 to 2025, the suspect kept payments made by citizens and businesses for vehicle registration, even though the money was supposed to be transferred to public institutions.

The suspected actions caused losses to municipalities, the Ministry of Environment, the Red Cross and other institutions.
He is also suspected of illegally writing off financial liabilities worth 17 million denars in an attempt to cover his tracks.
The criminal complaint has been forwarded to the Tetovo Basic Prosecutor’s Office.
