Minister Fitore Pacolli announced that today she signed a memorandum of understanding with Arsim Rapuca, chair of the Chamber of Engineers of the Republic of Kosovo (OIRK), to fund the institution’s operations. The support comes after the Chamber temporarily suspended its activities because of a lack of funds.
The planned amount is €130,054. According to Pacolli, the funds are intended to strengthen the Chamber’s capacity and support its work in carrying out its responsibilities under the law.

Pacolli also said that an entirely new approach to cooperation with professional chambers has been established. She linked this approach to the belief that progress in the construction sector and improvements in professional standards require ongoing cooperation with professionals in the field.
Before this announcement, OIRK had suspended its activities, including services for citizens and professionals in the field, because it could not secure the necessary funding.
The Board of Directors made the decision on November 3, and it took effect on November 5, 2026. The Chamber’s announcement said the suspension would continue until a funding solution was found.
OIRK had placed responsibility for securing the funds with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, citing the ministry’s legal obligation to provide the grant.
