Prince Harry has sought permission to appeal a London court ruling dismissing his lawsuit against the Daily Mail. The request marks another step in his legal battle with the British press.
His lawyer announced the news on Friday. He said the prince is seeking to challenge the ruling issued in July, with the aim of bringing the case against the newspaper’s publisher, Associated Newspapers Limited, back to court.

Singer Elton John, his husband David Furnish, actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost, campaigner Doreen Lawrence and former MP Simon Hughes had also brought the lawsuit against the publishing company. They accused the company of unlawfully gathering personal information.
The court dismissed the lawsuit in July, finding that the claimants had failed to prove their allegations about how the company had obtained private information.
Through his application for permission to appeal, Prince Harry aims to reopen the case and continue his legal battle with the British media, with whom he has clashed for years in the United Kingdom.
