Speaking at a protest, Agron Shehaj, leader of the Opportunity Party, commented on SPAK’s decision to open an investigation into the “Albanian Files” case. He said Prime Minister Edi Rama is officially under investigation, calling it an extraordinary development for Albania’s future.
Shehaj said SPAK itself announced the news while protesters were there and clashing with police.

Referring to the “Albanian Files” document, Shehaj said it had shown the public how Rama regarded Albania as property to be divided among his architects and friends. According to Shehaj, the prime minister gave one part to one person and another part to someone else.
He also recalled a statement by one of the architects who, according to Shehaj, had gone so far as to suggest that Rama become king, telling him Albania did not need elections.
For Shehaj, the development is very good news for the country’s future because it shows that, at last, no one in Albania is untouchable, including Edi Rama. He stressed that the prime minister belongs before the courts.
